ELA Back-to-School Course for Elementary Level 2
Back-to-School ELA Elementary Level 2 Course is for students in grades 3-5. This course has been designed to help elementary school students to cover the learning gaps from the previous year and prepare for the next grade.
eTutorWorld’s back to school cover all the main topics of an academic year in a few weeks before the summer break ends and quickly puts a child’s learning back on track. This course consists of 55-minute, one-on-one sessions with a trained ELA tutor.

The first step towards a successful Back-to-School course at eTutorWorld is to test your child’s learning abilities and requirements. With the result in hand, we then customize the curriculum to make it just right for your child. You are also free to share your concerns/concern areas with us and our tutors will ensure to cover them in the lessons.

Reading and Comprehension- 2 sessions
- Character Analysis/Character Interaction/Main Idea of a text/Quoting a text
- Different types of texts/Compare and Contrast
Reading and Comprehension – 3 sessions
- Making inferences/Summarizing a text/ Theme of a text/Making predictions.
- Read and comprehend different genres of text.

- Understanding the writing process- planning, drafting, revising, editing and publishing.

How can eTutorWorld customize the ELA course for my child?
At eTutorWorld, we work with the belief that every child learns differently, therefore, all courses are customizable. You can have an open discussion with our tutors to make changes in the lesson plan, whenever needed. We will also conduct a diagnostic test at the beginning of the ELA summer course to understand your child’s learning abilities and may change the curriculum accordingly if needed.
What topics does this course cover? Will it build on the previous levels?
ELA – Level 2 builds on the curriculum of ELA Level 1 and proceeds to cover: Language Tools, Vocabulary Acquisition, Reading and Comprehension, and Creative Writing. It covers 3rd Grade Language Arts, 4th Grade Language Arts, and 5th Grade Language Arts according to the result of the diagnostic test.
Does the course have a flexible timeline?
Yes, ELA Elementary Level 2 course has a flexible timeline. It comes with a lesson plan of 8 weeks but we are open to changes in it to accommodate a child’s learning needs. We do not want your child to simply finish the course. The aim here is to help your child learn, cover the gaps created in the school year and come out at the end with a better understanding of the English language and its nuances.
